Fun Fab Fitness Weekend
A fabulous weekend at Oaklands outdoor education centre, Llanwrst, North Wales
Friday 11th June to Sunday 13th June 2010.
This action packed weekend will include Nordic walking, Gorge walking, Pilates and other activities depending on the weather. All supervised by experienced and qualified instructor.

Accomodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Most of the accomodation is shared but this is reflected in the price of the weekend.Originally a Victorian house Oaklands has been extended and refurbished to provide all the amenities expected of a modern Outdoor Education Centre. It stands in a large area of woodland on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. Its location in the Conwy Valley provides easy access to the mountains, lakes, rivers and sea.

6pm leave wirral to arrive approx 7.30pm at Oaklands
Evening stroll
Saturday
9am breakfast
10am Gorge walk
Usually a wet activity, a journey up or down a gorge, involving scrambling, perhaps a swim and some slides. It is one of the most popular activities on offer.
1pm lunch
2.30pm Nordic walk
4.30pm Pilates chill out
6pm evening meal
Free time to explore local establishments!!!!

9am breakfast
10.30pm exercise session to be arranged.
12pm depart
Price £150 to include travel from Birkenhead, accomodation, food, fitness activities and specialist equipment.
Places are limited and a deposit of £50 will be required.

Parkgate and the Wirral Way
10am start
Come and join us for this fantastic walk starting and finishing at Parkgate.
A pleasant ramble around the Dee estuary and crossing the Wirral way.
Distance 8km/5 miles
Time: Approx 2 hours
Price £5 including pole hire.
Sunday 11th April
Llandegla Forest
9am start
Approx 2 to 3 hour walk around Llandegla Forest plus a chill out Pilates stretch class.
This walk provides a good feel for the different species and habitats in the forest. The route climbs to the upland spruce plantation, then passes through areas of heather rides where grey hens (female black grouse) may be seen, together with views towards Moel Famau, then continues to the far end of the forest before decending back to the visitors centre cafe.
Please note there will be a lunch break before Pilates session- the cafe is excellent and offers a good varied menu and is reasonably priced.
Distance 11km/7 miles Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
Approx 2 to 3 hour walk around Llandegla Forest plus a chill out Pilates stretch class.
Price £15 including transport from Birkenhead, pole hire, guided walk and Pilates session.
